- Step 1. Make the dough. Combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl.
- Step 2. Add the flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Step 3. Knead for about 6–8 minutes, until smooth and slightly tacky. If it is very sticky, add flour about 1 tablespoon at a time.
- Step 4. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Step 5. Preheat the oven to 230°C / 450°F.
- Step 6. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces, about 114 g each.
- Step 7. Roll or stretch each piece into a personal pizza approximately 15–18 cm / 6–7 inches wide.
- Step 8. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Add pizza sauce, cheese, and your preferred toppings.
- Step 9. Bake for 10–14 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
